Guidelines
21st Century Publisher is a scholarly open access publisher. The received manuscripts will undergo plagiarism (copying text or results from other sources) for its uniqueness and also self-plagiarism (duplicating substantial parts of authors’ own published work without giving the appropriate references) by quality analysts.
Authors should prepare their manuscript in English and submit the result file to Managing Editor at contact@21stcenturypublisher.org. The source files of the manuscript can be in either pdf or MS word for its acceptance. There is no charges for article submission. Authors have to pay only after publication of their article. Details of article processing charges can be viewed at Article processing charges page.
Article should be presented in a concise manner and with accurate reports. Avoid plagiarism and fragmentation of the work. Authors are requested to revise the article as per the peer review comments and submit the revised article for further process Authors will be notified of the article acceptance or rejection. After the acceptance of an article, authors are assumed to have transferred the copyright of the article to the publisher A biographical sketch and photograph of each author are also to be given to the publisher. 21st Century Publisher allows the author(s) to hold the copyright without restrictions and will obtain publishing rights without restrictions.
Open access will be granted to all published articles from each issue of the journal. These papers will be featured on the publisher/journal’s website and readers can read and download them free of charge.
Article Style and Format
Manuscripts should be written with all pages and/or lines numbered in simple, grammatical English. Requirements for initial submission are more flexible than at revision and authors are encouraged to format manuscripts in a manner that makes it easier for peer reviewers to read and assess the manuscript.

Copyright, Permissions, and Access
By submitting the article to the journal, the author(s) assign the rights to publish and promote the article. There is no particular agreement needed further. As the Articles are published under a CC BY license, the journal does not require authors to assign copyright of their published original research papers.
All articles published in 21st Century Pathology are fully open access: immediately freely available to read, download and share. Articles are published under the terms of a Creative Commons license which permits use, distribution and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited. Open access is a property of individual works, not necessarily journals or publishers. Community standards, rather than copyright law, will continue to provide the mechanism for enforcement of proper attribution and responsible use of the published work.

The author(s) and copyright holder(s) grant(s) to all users a free, irrevocable, worldwide, perpetual right of access to, and a license to copy, use, distribute, transmit and display the work publicly and to make and distribute derivative works, in any digital medium for any responsible purpose, subject to proper attribution of authorship, as well as the right to make small numbers of printed copies for their personal use.
Publication Fee and Reprints
21st Century Pathology is an open access, not-for-profit journal without any source of funding and is running for the betterment of the scientific society with a cause to deliver the updates in the scientific society to nook and corner of the world.
The cost covers entire peer review tools and systems, journal development, copy editing, language editing, administration process, online hosting and permanent archiving of article.

Authors have the opportunity to order reprints of their articles with reduced color costs when they receive their article proofs for approval prior to publication.
Post publication promotion
The journal is associated with various news outlets. All the published articles will be promoted and marketed through the press releases from affiliated news outlets for enhanced readership and citations. Besides publishing the press releases, these news outlets also involved in article promotion through newsletters. They send out emails to the readers who are particularly involved in the similar research to the published article.
Article Withdrawal Policy
Authors can withdraw their submission at any time during the review and pre-publication process. However, author should note the reason for the withdrawal, and they may be liable for withdrawal penalty bases the article processed stage. See Withdrawal charges below for more details.
Editor can withdraw the articles if any scientific misconduct (duplicate submissions, article published in another journal, bogus claims of authorship, data fabrication, article plagiarism) is noticed. Editor has the right to withdraw an article at any stage of the publication process if the authors do not reply to communication from the editorial office, even after multiple reminders. In such cases the editor will send an email to the authors stating that article has been withdrawn and editors cannot be held responsible for the consequences arising from it. In place of the withdrawn article (only for Articles in Press), the editor will add a PDF stating that article has been withdrawn as per the 21st Century Publisher policy.
Article Retraction Policy
Editor can retract the articles if any scientific misconduct (duplicate submissions, article published in another journal, bogus claims of authorship, data fabrication, article plagiarism) is noticed.
Authors can request to retract their papers after the publication. Authors may retract their papers at any time during the publication process. However, they must submit a retraction letter clearly stating the reason for retraction. In case of retraction, the editor replaces the article with a retraction note signed by the authors.
Article Replacement Policy
In very rare cases an article replacement is allowed by the editor where the authors wish to retract the original published paper containing significant errors with the corrected version.
Scientific Misconduct
It is required that researchers adhere to ethical, legal, and professional standards that structure the conduct of study. All scientific misconducts will be processed in accordance with Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines. Based on the level of misconduct, the respective institution, funding agency, other journals (in which the author(s) published recently), and news outlets will be informed.
Manuscript Withdrawal Charges
Authors may withdraw their papers at any time during the publication process by paying the withdrawal penalty. Editor will collect the penalty charges to cover the costs incurred during the publication process (including peer-reviewing, editing, publishing, maintaining & archiving, and allows immediate access to the full text versions of the articles). However, these charges are not applicable if the authors withdraw the paper within 5 days from the date of submission. As mentioned in the article retraction policy, authors must submit a letter (duly signed by all the authors) stating the reason for withdrawal/retraction along with Manuscript Withdrawal Charges. Authors are not allowed to withdraw the papers without paying the Withdrawal Penalty. 21st Century Pathology, holds ALL RIGHTS to publish the manuscript without further approval from the author, and can’t be held responsible for publishing of manuscript in any other Journal.
Article Refund Policy
In case of article withdrawal/retraction/removal, Article processing charges (if paid) will not be refunded to authors as publish incur lot of cost during publication process which includes cost for peer-reviewing, editing, publishing, maintaining & archiving, and allows immediate access to the full text versions of the articles. Refunds will be made only in rare cases where there is a double payment made by the authors.
Editorial policies and process
Author responsibilities
Authors in the Journals/publisher must fulfill the criteria informed by the ICMJE (International Committee of Medical Journal Editors) definition of authorship and responsibilities.
The corresponding (submitting) author is solely responsible for communicating with the Journal/ Publisher. Before the actual submission, the corresponding author ensures that all authors are included in the author list, and that all authors are aware that the paper was submitted to the respective journal/publisher.
Upon acceptance, the proof is sent to the corresponding author. The journal/publisher will not necessarily correct errors after publication so the corresponding author is responsible for the accuracy of the proof.
The acknowledgement should also contain organizations that have provided support in terms of funding and/or other services. It is important to identify individuals who participated in the creation of a manuscript but do not qualify as an author at the acknowledgement.
Authors should disclose all financial/relevant interest that may have influenced the development of the manuscript.
Submission policies
Any manuscript submitted to the journal/publisher must be original and should not be in consideration for publication in other journal/publisher. We mandate that writers be clear in any situation where there is the potential for overlap or duplication.
A final version of the manuscript should be accepted by all the authors prior to submission. Therefore, if a manuscript is submitted, it is presumed that all authors have read and accepted the manuscript submission.
Contact information of all authors should be mentioned in the submission i.e. full names, affiliation, emails, and phone/fax numbers.
Ethics and consent
Study involving human subjects, human materials or human data must be conducted in compliance with the Helsinki Declaration and accepted by the appropriate Ethics Committee. A statement mentioning this, including the name of the ethics committee and the reference number must be mentioned in the manuscript at appropriate locations.
Informed consent to participate in the study should be obtained from participants (or a legal guardian if applicable) for all work involving human participants and a declaration should appear in the manuscript to this effect.
Work involving in any vertebrates or regulated invertebrates must comply with institutional, national, or international guidelines, and where available should have been approved by an appropriate ethics committee. Respective details of the approval should me mentioned in the article.
Manuscripts reporting results of a clinical trial must conform to CONSORT 2010 guidelines. Authors of randomized controlled trials should submit a completed CONSORT checklist, available at www.consort-statement.org.
Peer review policy
All articles published in the journals/publisher undergo thorough peer review. All submissions to the journals are assessed by an Editor, who will decide whether they are suitable for peer review.
Submissions deemed to be acceptable for consideration will be selected by the Handling Editor for peer review and will be sent to suitable independent experts for peer-review. Based on the reports of the reviewers, editors will make a decision and authors are sent these reports along with the editorial decision on their manuscript. The journal/publisher follows single blind review process where the reviewers will be masked for the authors completely.
